Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ Shatters Records with $150K Advance Booking Abroad, and Prabhas’ ‘Salaar’ Joins the Race with $100K! Bollywood Box Office Battle Heats Up

Blockbusters Film Jawan Salaar Advance Booking: After a remarkable display by Indian movies released over the Independence Day weekend this year, such as “Gadar 2,” “Jailer,” “OMG 2,” and “Bholaa Shankar,” the forthcoming release “Jawan,” featuring Shah Rukh Khan, is all set for its premiere on September 7.

The movie’s anticipation is already making a global impact, with its pre-release bookings crossing the significant milestone of $150,000 (Rs 1.2 crore) abroad, according to insights provided by film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan.

Vijayabalan shared the impressive advance booking statistics on X (formerly known as Twitter), underscoring the particularly strong response in the US. Bookings were made available across 367 locations, encompassing roughly 1600 screenings on the opening day itself, with close to 1900 tickets sold by the morning.

Blockbusters Film Jawan Salaar Advance Booking

Another film generating similar enthusiasm overseas is actor Prabhas’s “Salaar”; its advance bookings have exceeded the $100,000 (approximately Rs 82 lakh) milestone, as confirmed by Vijayabalan. The movie is lined up for screenings at 141 locations, with around 363 shows on its debut day, and around 4456 tickets have already been purchased. “Salaar” is scheduled to hit theaters on September 28.

“Jawan” marks King Khan’s second release of the year, following “Pathaan,” which currently holds the record as India’s highest-grossing film with an impressive lifetime collection of Rs 543 crore. It also claims the title of the second highest-grossing film in the USA. Apart from Shah Rukh Khan, “Jawan” features a cast including Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra, and Priyamani, with Deepika Padukone making a special appearance.

In contrast, under the direction of Prashanth Neel, “Salaar” features Prabhas in the lead role, accompanied by Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy, and Ramachandra Raju.
